Friday Apr 03, 2026
Friday Apr 03, 2026
Easter – Wielkanoc
"Wielkanoc" means "Easter," and in this festive micro-lesson you'll say it like you're gathered around the święconka basket waiting for the Easter blessing.
First you hear the word at native speed, then slowed down so you can master the majestic "Wiel" and the soft "kanoc." We drop it into three celebration-ready sentences:
– "Wesołych Świąt Wielkanocnych!" (Happy Easter!) – "Maluję pisanki." (I'm painting Easter eggs.) – "Idę na święconkę." (I'm going for the Easter blessing.)
Repeat-along track included—perfect while you dye eggs, bake mazurek, or prepare your Easter basket.
Challenge: Tell us in the comments how YOU celebrate Easter—reply in Polish and we'll feature the most festive answers.

"Ślub" means "wedding," and in this micro-lesson you'll say it like you're toasting the newlyweds at a Polish wesele.
First you hear the word at native speed, then slowed down so you can master the tricky "ś" and the soft "lub." We drop it into three celebration-ready sentences:
– "Idę na ślub." (I'm going to a wedding.) – "To będzie piękny ślub." (It's going to be a beautiful wedding.) – "Sto lat dla nowożeńców!" (One hundred years for the newlyweds)
Repeat-along track included—perfect while you pick your outfit or practice your toast.
Challenge: Tell us in the comments about the last Polish wedding you attended—or write "Idę na ślub!" if you have one coming up.

#575 I Love Music – Kocham Muzykę
Thursday Mar 19, 2026
Thursday Mar 19, 2026
"Muzyka" means "music," and in this micro-lesson you'll say it like you're front row at a Warsaw concert.
First you hear the word at native speed, then slowed down so you can nail the soft "zy" and the flowing "ka." We drop it into three earworm-ready sentences:
– "Kocham muzykę." (I love music.) – "To moja playlista." (This is my playlist.) – "Gram na gitarze." (I play guitar.)
Repeat-along track included—perfect while you queue Spotify or tune your instrument.
Challenge: Tell us in the comments what music YOU like and if you play any instruments—reply in Polish for bonus points.

I am Irish living in Lodz, Poland since 2007. I tried hard to learn Polish but found it very difficult. Therefore I am the Student in this Podcast.
I believe the best way to learn Polish is when you are enjoying it. We have kept the Episodes fun and short 5-25mins. We try to cover everyday topics to allow you to have a decent conversation.
Start at the start and the level increases in later episodes. I have remastered the sound of the earlier shows and you can find then by typring the episode in the search bar.
Ania is my co-host and teacher, founder of Teatro de Idiomas. Learning Polish with us isn’t just effective — it’s fun, inspiring, and super exciting . She prepares graphics so that our listeners can also view on our YouTube & Bitchute,Rumble & Spotify Video Channels.
We hope you enjoy our Podcast.
